A regional meeting of Central Asian export promotion agencies took place in Dushanbe

A regional meeting of Central Asian export promotion agencies and organizations took place in Dushanbe. The event was attended by representatives from both the public and private sectors, including those involved in trade and export promotion from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation among the agencies, share experiences in export promotion and discuss methods to improve trade infrastructure for the sustainable development of export initiatives in Central Asia.

During the meeting, representatives from the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan presented mechanisms to support exporters, such as trade finance and insurance. The Kazakh delegation also shared their experience in creating and developing an agency in Kazakhstan, including its transformation, operational approaches and successful case studies.

Today we have established a foundation for productive and open exchange of experiences and information. Kazakhstan is the first country in Central Asia to officially attain the status of an export credit agency. We are prepared for various forms of cooperation, as the presence of export promotion institutions benefits all countries in the region, strengthening their positions in the international market. This, in turn, enhances the attractiveness and competitiveness of our economies in the realm of export financing, stated Kuanysh Mukazhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan JSC.

Meeting participants emphasized the significance of the event for fostering cooperation, enhancing the insurance support system, and advancing trade and economic relations among the countries.

At the conclusion of the conference, agreements were reached for continued collaboration and information sharing to further develop the non-primary export insurance market.
